- INTRODUCTION
By chartering with Kanpai Charter Malta Ltd, you are entering into a binding contract. These terms and conditions are binding on both parties and form a legal obligation and a constitutive part of our contract. Only these conditions are the basis for the result of any contractual legal processes between us. Please read carefully.
- RESERVATION
You can reserve your charter via the online booking system or by email. The availability will be checked and will be confirmed by email. A €100 deposit is required at the time of reservation;
The chartered vessel with it’s complete equipment can be boarded only after the full payment is done.
You will be required to sign a waiver form before the date of the charter. The waiver can be downloaded by following this link.
- PAYMENT METHODS
Deposit is fully refundable if cancelled up to 48hrs before the date of charter, or in case we are unable to sail due to adverse weather conditions;
The remaining balance to be settled before boarding the vessel on the day of the charter

- RENTAL
The rental price includes the fee for the charter of the vessel equipped according to the presently effective inventory list and price list. It includes your very own professional skipper and complimentary water and soft drinks on board. Costs of other food, alcohol and other beverages is not included.
Fuel is included.
The vessel will be clean before the charter and in proper condition. That is how it has to remain at the end of the charter.
VAT and other taxes are included.
Customers are to arrive at least 20 minutes before the time stipulated.
- CANCELLATION
The Customer may cancel or reschedule the charter up to 48 hrs before the scheduled embarkation of the charter. In this case, the deposit is fully refundable.
Should the customer wish to cancel the charter, the cancellation must be sent in writing via email.
In the event that we must cancel and reschedule your charter due to severe weather conditions, the Customer will be notified via the email address provided and/or mobile phone. It is left up to the customer should he wish to cancel the charter. In this case, the deposit is refundable.
The Skipper has absolute authority on the boat and may cancel the charter at any time due to the customer not following his orders/instructions.
The skipper may also disallow boarding to any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If the charter becomes unsafe, the charter is cancelled and payment is non-refundable.
- INSURANCE
Each vessel has an obligatory insurance for all the passengers.
Nevertheless, the boat is checked at the end of each charter and the customer will be responsible for any avoidable damages. No security deposit is required before the charter. However, customers will be required to sign an agreement before the charter wherein they will assume such a responsibility.
On the other hand, Kanpai Charter Malta Ltd shall not be responsible and cannot be held liable for any damages or losses suffered by the customer.
Kanpai Charter Malta Ltd will not be responsible for any items lost or left behind by the customer.
- HEALTH AND SAFETY on board the vessel
Customers are required to be barefoot onboard, hence no shoes are allowed.
Smoking is permitted only in the cockpit.
Sitting on railings is not permitted at any time throughout the charter.
Jumping or diving into the sea is not permitted without the skipper’s order.
To comply with all skippers lawful orders
Customers cannot enter the saloon unless they are dry.
Small-sized pets on board are allowed but not in the saloon. All pets must be trained and kept on a leash.
No fishing is allowed.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to walk freely around the boat. They must be kept within arm’s length from their guardian at all times.
Garbage (including paper and feminine hygiene products) should be thrown in the bins provided in the saloon and bathrooms.
- ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Additional services and extra equipment should be requested when booking.
However, the customer may ask for the addition of certain extras even after the booking confirmation. At the latest, all extras must be confirmed no later than 4 days before the charter date. Extra payments will be required by the Customer for any additional service.
9. JURISDICTION
The parties will strive to solve any dispute peacefully. However, if agreement is not reached the Maltese law courts will have jurisdiction over their dispute.
